Seriously?

Published by mommyto2 at 7:46 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Dear EntreCarders,

I just recently became aware of the situation with Turnip.  I visit his blog regularly and will miss not dropping cards on him, but Seriously?

I do not visit the EC forum that often and am not aware of all the drama that ensues.  I understand that there are faithful users who have tried to make the site more user friendly, others who have made suggestions, and some who just feel as though they are not being heard…but, Seriously?

Why personally attack a guy who was thoughtful enough to develop this service and give it to you for FREE?  Maybe it was a joke, maybe it was to stand out, maybe it was an intentional cruelty by a member who thinks they can develop a better platform.  I don’t know, and I don’t care.  Here is what I know:

You were selling EC credits on you sites and taking money away from the guy who gave them to you, which in my book is stealing.  If you want to “get stuff” and make a profit re-selling it…check out ebay.

You are now upset with the new terms and think it is unfair.  You are trash talking a guy who is only trying to “make it” just as you are.  Where’s all the camaraderie now?

Someone gives you a free service, works to make it the best advertising for your site, and when he changes the rules you yell foul?  How about instead of all the name calling, you just quit using the service?

I’m not suggesting by any means that people should leave entrecard.  I have found the service very valuable and have met some very interesting people and blogs that I would not have met if not for the service.  I am grateful.

You do not have to share my opinion, but be realistic.  If someone gives you something for free…say Thank You, don’t demean their character because the free thing isn’t exactly what you wanted or transformed into something else.
