A Letter of Apology
Dear Boog,
I am so sorry that I totally spaced on today being career day. When you reminded me, I looked everywhere for the note that was sent home, positive that it did not have today’s date on it. I looked through the piles of work and notes you have brought home so far this year, and could not find it. It was on the refrigerator, and it was today. I am so sorry.
You were allowed to dress up in the career “uniform” of your choice. Since you were not dressed in a career uniform, and instead were wearing jeans and a grey turtleneck, you chose to tell the class you were going to be a runner. I am amazed that you were that creative and proud of you for saying anything since you really do not like to stand up in class.
You amaze me every day with how confident you are becoming and how well you are adjusting to the new schedule, with school all day.
I hope you can forgive me for not dressing you in a career outfit, and hope you believe me that the one you wanted to wear, would not have been appropriate.
All My Love,
Mom

That was a beautiful and heartfelt appology. Unfortunately in my parenting I have had to make similar appologies. This is my first time to your blog. Ilike it.
