Dear Fellow Bloggers…
Dear Fellow Bloggers,
I am in desperate need of help with this wordpress/Today blog. I am very new to blogging and jumped right in with a Bravenet blog. I then started a blogspot blog which I ended up purchasing the domain for, then I came across this program and thought it would be fun to just write letters. I’ve been blogging for 3 months and have been trying to teach myself about the different formats for the different hosting sites and have done okay so far, or so I thought.
Today I noticed that I had 5 unmoderated comments (Sorry, Tammy) on this blog. I thought I had set comments to automatically post, but obviously NOT. They were from weeks ago and I’m wondering why I never noticed that they were waiting for moderation?
I also can not figure out how to get my EC Widget on this page. I have it on my “who am I” page and you’ll go directly to that page if my card is clicked on, but then you might miss the actual content of my blog.
I will accept any and all help and will be eternally grateful for any advice.
Sincerely,
Confused with Wordpress

Hi, and welcome to today.com.
To get your EC Widget on your main page, go to your Blog Control Panel, and click on “Look and Feel” in the menu that runs along the top. Then click on “Widgets.” Drag a “Text” widget up into your sidebar. Click on Save. Then click on the widget, and copy your EC code into it. Click on save again.
Hope that helps.
I don’t know how to set up comments so that they post automatically. Mine get held for moderation too. But if you go to Options, and check the box for getting an email whenever someone posts a comment, at least you’ll know that they’re waiting, and they won’t pile up.
Maybe someone on the Forums will know how to let the comments go through automatically. That’s a good place to ask. Also, there is a guy here who has a blog called “Ask the Answerman,” who is very helpful.
Thank You! Thank You! I had tried that previously and the “text” for the code showed up instead of the actual widget, I’m sure it was an error on my part. I really appreciate the help.
You’re welcome! Glad it worked.
You know, now I’m having the same problem you are with not being notified about comments. I found some from a few days ago that weren’t posted because they hadn’t been approved. I just happened to click on something by accident, and there they were. They could have sat there forever without my noticing them! (On some earlier ones, I got notified by email, but not for these.)
